Apple, Dell, and IBM/Lenovo Battery Recalls Announced

Dell is voluntarily recalling and offering free replacements for certain lithium-ion, rechargeable batteries that were sold for use with some models of Dell Latitude, Dell Precision, and Dell Inspiron laptop computers between April 2004 and July 2006. For more information, please see:

IBM and Lenovo are recalling certain lithium-ion, rechargeable batteries that were used with various models of their portable lines of ThinkPads sold between February 2005 and September 2006. For more information, please see:

There is a possibility that these batteries can overheat, which could cause a fire risk.
