Computerworld Names ISC Mid-Atlantic's Top Employer
July 16, 2007 :: Shirley Ross, ISC
For the third consecutive year, Information Systems & Computing/Penn has
been named the top employer for IT professionals in the Mid-Atlantic Region
and among the top 10 employers nationally in Computerworld
Magazine’s annual 100 Best Places to Work in IT survey. Computerworld ranked ISC/Penn
#8 nationally in 2007 and 2005 and #9 nationally in 2006.
Computerworld uses a rigorous selection process that includes completion of
a 100-question employer survey on categories such as career development, training,
retention, work assignments, diversity, pay and benefits, and recognition programs.
In addition, approximately 33% of ISC employees, randomly selected, completed
a web-based survey that went directly to a third party research firm. ISC is
in good company with University of Miami, General Mills, Cornell, Marriott,
Charles Schwab, Vanguard, LL Bean, State Farm, MIT, and Readers Digest among
the 100 employers chosen from thousands of candidates.
The survey results recognize ISC’s strong collaborative culture, innovative
and exciting projects and employee commitment to the Penn Compact, and Penn’s
strong benefits and HR programs that provide the information and flexibility
to help employees balance work and personal responsibilities. The rankings
were announced in the June 18 issue of Computerworld.
