DAR Mobile App Under Development

September 20 2011 :: Shirley Ross, Information Systems and Computing

University Donor Heat, a new mobile application to support the goals of Development & Alumni Relations, is currently under development by ISC with an anticipated release date in FY12.

By using Google Map Services, University Donor Heat will provide information on all of a fundraiser’s assigned donors within a 20 mile radius when a DAR employee/fundraiser enters a location from anywhere in the world. Pin labels on the map will display basic contact information, such as name, address, phone, and email, as well as directions to the donor’s location. University Donor Heat will give DAR employees the ability to filter and refine their search results. The app will be accessible via a web browser from any mobile device, PC, or MAC. For more information, please contact Bill Gilmore at wgilmore@isc.upenn.edu
