The following are issues that are known to be currently problematic with the IM service:
Avatars do not appear consistently in buddy lists and chatrooms.
Exodus gives an error on signon:

The SSL certificate received from the server has errors.

Exodus, the path to "Store unread messages" is incorrect on
installation. Change the path to
"C:\Program Files\Exodus\spool.xml" under Options -> Messages
otherwise every time a message is deleted, Exodus generates an
error message that it wrote to the Desktop and often creates a loop
so that multiple copies of the error message were written to the
Desktop.
Presence subscription requests sent before the recipient logs in for the first time will not be delivered to the recipient.
