Client Services Group
The Client Services Group provides a wide range of computing and networking support services to the University Community through its three functional components: First Call, the Computing Resource Center (CRC), and the Provider Desk
In accordance with Penn's computing support model, CSG provides differing sets of services to specific campus constituencies, as is shown below.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and Staff may visit the Computing Resource Center (CRC) to obtain connectivity software and installation instructions, virus protection software, and several internet applications for Windows XP and Windows Vista, as well as MacOS X (10.3.x and higher). All other computing support for faculty and staff is to be provided by local support providers, as arranged by each school or department.
For a listing of local support providers, check the support lookup table found at: http://www.upenn.edu/computing/view/support/.
Computing Support Providers (LSPs)
Those staff who are designated as Local computing Support Providers may utilize all of CSG's relevant services as second-level support on behalf of their designated users.
Students
Student support is determined by residence. Students participating in a graduate or professional program who reside in the Graduate Towers of Sansom Place or who live off campus may utilize CSG's relevant services as their primary source of computing support.
