Core Business Systems & eLearning
Core Business Systems are those used by all centers and the 12 schools in support of academic, business/financial, and research administration. Student Records, Payroll, BenFinancials, U@Penn and Atlas are a few examples of these core systems. ISC oversees the acquisition deployment and maintenance of the University’s core business systems at Penn
Core Business Systems Support: ISC oversees the support of an installed base of core administrative systems at Penn (e.g., PennERA, Student Records, Ben Financials, Atlas). ISC partners with you to continually enhance and adapt your systems to meet business process requirements.
eLearning Consulting: ISC can assist in using the University’s Learning Management Systems suite, as well as planning and delivering training in your School/Center.
Mobile Applications: ISC has developed a suite of mobile friendly applications that run on all the most popular mobile platforms, including iPhone (IOS), Android, and BlackBerry.
Online Directory: ISC manages Penn’s Online Directory, which offers customized contact information for faculty, staff, and students; UPHS employees; and departments. Directory listings are tailored by individuals and departments and provide robust privacy protections.
PennCommunity: PennCommunity provides biographic, demographic, and affiliation information about people who are affiliated with Penn.
Project Management: Using best practice methodologies, ISC can assist with all aspects of planning, including process design, defining needs, project proposals, organizing teams, meeting facilitation, risk management, plan development, and project manager mentoring.
University Data Warehouse: ISC’s Data Warehouse makes Penn’s institutional data available to authorized faculty and staff, experienced software developers, and institutional researchers, for query, analysis, and reporting using desktop tools.
