Email & Messaging
ISC provides email services to Schools and Centers to meet today’s needs for integrated messaging, calendaring, and productivity tools. Various mailing list options are also available to facilitate communication and simplify sending announcements and messages to large groups as well as a secure file sharing and instant messaging service.
Email: ISC provides email and calendaring suites as well as an email “Forward Only’ service, all with a high degree of reliability, including virus checking and spam filtering.
Instant Messaging (Jabber Service): ISC provides instant messaging for the Penn community using PennKey and password and providing data security and privacy that are not available through other offerings such as AOL and Google.
Mailing lists: ISC provides for-fee mailing lists for a simplified way to communicate with groups via email. Classlists or course mailing lists are also provided free of charge for courses taught in participating Schools, providing a quick, convenient, and easy method of communication between students and professors.
Secure Share (file sharing): ISC provides an easy-to-use tool that allows faculty and staff to share sensitive data with designated recipients. The data, accessed via PennKey and password, is stored for up to 30 days.
