ISC provides several network connection speeds and custom network design to meet your research requirements-both on and off campus to further research collaborations worldwide. ISC provides consulting services to assist researchers with determining the best solution for their network needs.
High Speed Wired Connections
ISC provides desktop connections at a standard speed of 100mb per second and up to 1 Gigabit per second for general access to PennNet, Internet, and Internet2. One Gigabit Ethernet service provides significant capacity over the standard 100meg connections and is available for an additional fee. Custom 10 Gigabit connections are available, but require consultation before ordering.
Custom Network Solutions: ISC provides several on-campus custom solutions ranging from 1 to 10 Gigabits. To enable research collaborations off-campus, ISC provides high-bandwidth access via Internet2 at speeds of up to 5 Gigabits. ISC can create permanent or long term connections to remote sites or can provide flexible, less expensive Interoperable On Demand Network (ION) services on an as-needed basis.
