Video and Media Services
ISC provides a number of video and media services such as video conferencing facilities, video production and distribution services including: live and prerecorded web streaming to promote and publicize events and digital media display management services. ISC also manages Penn iTunesU and Penn on YouTube as a further content distribution method.
Cable Television: ISC operates the Penn Video Network, which provides over 60 channels of programming, including Penn channels like the student-run UTV13; two 24-hour movie channels that air class curriculum films; and a video bulletin board providing information about student services and upcoming campus events. It also includes most conventional cable TV channels as well as public affairs and international programming. Connections can be ordered for non-residential spaces.
Digital Signage Service: ISC offers a shared Digital Signage Service that allows Schools/Centers to manage the display of information to LCD panels strategically placed on campus. Information can be updated by authorized content providers via an easy-to-use web interface.
Video Conferencing: For real time collaboration for research, distance learning, business meetings, recruitment, and development, ISC offers a number of video and web conferencing options. You can videoconference from your desktop or in ISC’s specialized videoconference room.
Video Recording, Production & Distribution: To record and distribute special events, lectures, presentations, training, or safety videos, ISC provides a suite of production and distributions services. Video may be streamed live online, posted to websites, distributed as DVDs or published on websites (e.g. Penn on iTunes U & Penn on YouTube).
