Technology Training
ISC's Technology Training Services (TSS) provides a broad range of computing
courses for the University community. Services are
designed
to give
students, faculty,
and
staff
the opportunity to learn about technology and to keep pace with the growth
and complexity of Penn's rapidly expanding technological environment.
Course Offerings
ISC has partnered with
several local vendors to provide both on- and
off-campus
computer
classes at
preferred
pricing
to the Penn
community. (All
on-campus
sessions are held in ISC's state-of-the-art training labs
at 3650 Chestnut Street, Sansom
West.) End-user courses
include most of the software in use on campus and are available at introductory,
intermediate, and advanced levels. Offerings for
IT professionals
include standard technology curricula, such as MCSE certification. ISC's Technology
Training
Services (TTS) web site provides a searchable schedule of upcoming classes
with real-time tracking of enrollment (seat availability) and
online
registration.
Support Provider Training
ISC works in cooperation with Penn's IT advisory groups, campus project teams,
and user and special interest groups to develop courses for IT
support providers that meet specific
needs within Penn's computing environment.
