LAN Consulting Services

ISC LAN Technology Services provides for fee LAN consulting services. Our consultants can provide assistance to local support providers and Server Administrators in every stage of Windows 2003 domain planning, migration and deployment. Throughout the project we work with LSPs and server administrators to transfer knowledge and assist in documentation. Our complete solution of services include:

• Project Management
• Needs assessment and recommendations
• Physical server hardware specifications
• Virtual environments specifications and configurations (VMWare and MS Virtual Server)
• Windows Active Directory design and group policy management
• Domain upgrades and data migration
• End user workstation profile migration (in partnership with ISC Support On Site)
• Windows domain security assessment, implementation and best practices
• Security in depth recommendation with IPSEC group policy implementation
• Software and hardware firewall installation & configuration
• Remote secure access to network shares and RDP access to servers

Consulting services are charged at an hourly rate of $110/hour.

For University units that do not have server administrators we also offer file server maintenance agreements. The agreements cover:

• Initial review of domain design and security
• Install and maintain operating system updates and patches.
• Administer anti-virus managed server
• Monitor security policies, event logs, and services
• Provide and maintain back-up solution
• Provide hardware technical support
• Monitor software firewall
• Monitor hardware firewall appliance is available for an additional fee

File server maintenance agreement are charged at a monthly rate which ranges from $440 to $770 a month depending on the option selected.

• OPTION A & B: A Local Support Provider is responsible for basic, day-to-day account administration
• OPTION C & D: ISC handles day-to-day account administration
