Details
- The Port Rental and Connection Maintenance Fee covers the cost of renting
and keeping a port operational, including costs associated with customer service and equipment replacement.
- The 1000Base-T fees also include a bandwidth surcharge to support increasing costs of campus backbone and external Internet costs.
- ISC N&T now offers a POE service where applicable for those Powered Devices (PD) such as VoIP phones, wall clocks in rooms and hallways, or IP-based video cameras (Public Safety). Power is provided over PennNet wiring to PD equipment from local wiring closets via installed ISC-owned power sourcing equipment. Power source meets all 802.11at POE+ specifications. POE charges are in addition to the subscribed Ethernet port rate.
- The Wall Plate Wire Rental Service is used to connect two PennNet wall plate ports in order to extend a copper path from one room to another in the same building. Since ISC does not permit local building wiring by policy, this service permits an LSP to connect two devices by copper extension through PennNet wiring.
- UPHSnet customers that occupy office or lab space in Penn buildings can have UPHSnet services activated on PennNet wall plate wiring in areas where UPHSnet equipment is in the same building.
- All activations include PennNet Data Port Activation Charge.
