Frequently Asked Questions
Who can take courses at TTS?
TTS open enrollment courses are open to anyone, although Penn pricing is limited to members of the extended Penn community, including Penn, HUP, CHOP, and Wistar employees and their families.
Who actually delivers the training classes?
TTS works with a number of area companies, as well as national consultants and agencies, to negotiate pricing for course delivery. Most end-user on-campus courses are delivered by ONLC training centers employees. Off campus courses are delivered by the staff of the companies that manage the off-campus training locations.
Can I use a budget code to pay for classes?
Most courses offered through TTS are provided by, and billed by, external vendors. Budget codes can be used to pay for special training events organized through TTS, although open enrollment courses must be paid by credit card (the Penn Purchasing Card is accepted) or Penn Purchase Order.
What is the BEN vendor number to use so I can create a Penn Purchase Order to pay for classes?
The BEN vendor number to use for ONLC is listed under Online Consulting. The vendor number for ONLC is
48275.
What if I need to retake a class?
End user classes offered by ONLC on-campus are covered by a one-year guarantee. You may retake a course that you've paid for anytime it's offered again (subject to space availability and cancellation for low enrollment) for up to a year after you first take it.
Can students take courses at TTS?
Absolutely. Classes are open to anyone in the extended Penn community. Course fees must be paid directly and can not be billed to your bursar bill.
Are books included in the course fees?
All course fees negotiated by TTS include necessary books and materials, unless otherwise specified
