KITE (Kerberos Intermediate Trust Environment)

KITE is designed as a resource for authenticating persons to a Windows domain via their PennKey and password. The purpose is to streamline the process for Systems Administrators and reduce the overhead of multiple separate groups from maintaining their own solutions.

A KITE user will appear to be the exact same person whenever they log on to a trusting Windows domain. This means that the user will still have permission to access resources in one location, while logged on in another.

You can either allow systems in an existing Windows domain to be used by KITE users, or, alternatively, individual workstations can be joined directly to the KITE domain.
