Retirement of the Penn Netnews Service
On June 30, 2008 the Penn Netnews Service was retired. For alternatives to this service users are encouraged to visit

We realize that some mailing lists had been polling the Netnews service for delivery of some content. Given the high variability in list configurations, ISC is not able to determine how each list that was polling Netnews will behave now that the service is retired. Some lists may receive
repeated bounce messages, while others may silently stop sending postings from the service. List managers whose lists were polling various threads from Penn's Netnews service should take steps to identify alternative sources for content, if you haven't already.
