Personalize Your Email & Chat
After installing the email and chat software from the PennConnect DVD, do the following:
- Get instructions on how to configure Thunderbird (Mac OS or Windows), Mail (Mac OS 10.4.x and Mac OS 10.5.x), Entourage 2004 & 2008 (Mac OS), Outlook 2003 (Windows), and Outlook 2007 (Windows).
- If you are a current participant of ISC's Instant Messaging Service, get instructions on how to configure the Adium (Mac OS), iChat (Mac OS) or Pidgin (Windows) chat clients for this service.
- If you're not sure which email or chat software you should use, contact your School, department, or Local Support Provider (LSP).
Download Supported Media Players
QuickTime, RealPlayer 10, Flip4Mac, and Windows Media Player are not automatically installed from the PennConnect DVD. They can be downloaded from the Supported Media Players web page. After installation, a plug-in for each application will be installed for each web browser on your hard drive.
