Address of Record
The address of record to which a PennKey Setup Code is mailed relates to your
University or UPHS status. Review the information below to find out how your
address of record is determined and how to check or change yours.
Students
For undergraduates: Your address of record is your local address during
the academic year and your permanent address at other times. However, if you
have set a temporary address in Penn InTouch, that serves as your address of
record until it expires. If you need to check or update an address but can't
access Penn InTouch yourself to do so, send email with the desired address information
to regist@pobox.upenn.edu.
For graduate students: Your address of record is usually your local
address. However, if you have set a temporary address in PennInTouch, that is
your address of record until it expires. If you need to check or update an address
but can't access PennInTouch yourself to do so, send email with the desired
address information to regist@pobox.upenn.edu.
Faculty and Staff
For Penn faculty and staff members: "Address of record" usually
means your home address. If you need a PennKey Setup Code to register a PennKey
or reset a forgotten password and are unsure whether your address is up to date,
your departmental business administrator (BA) or payroll coordinator can verify
(and if necessary, update) your address of record. If you know your PennKey
and password, you can check your address in U@Penn.
If you take classes and work at Penn: Your student status takes precedence
and will determine your address of record. Please review the information in
the "Student" segment above.
Penn Employees with a UPHS affiliation
Addresses associated with University affiliations take precedence over addresses
associated with UPHS affiliations. As such, Penn staff who have active
or inactive UPHS affiliations (eg. School of Medicine faculty with clinical
practices in the Health System) must keep their University address
up-to-date if they wish to use the automated Setup Code Request Line. If you
know your PennKey and password, you can check your address in U@Penn.
If you have requested a Setup Code via the automated request line but have
not received it after five business days, send a follow-up query to medhelp@mail.med.upenn.edu
or call (215) 573-4636 rather than requesting a second Setup Code.
All Others
Your address of record is the address you supplied when you requested a PennKey.
To change your address, contact your sponsor or the business administrator of
the School or department with which you are affiliated.
