
Provider Desk Service Overview
Supported Products
Each year Local Support Providers are encouraged to volunteer for a variety
of supported product evaluation teams identified as priorities for that year.
This evaluation effort is led each year by John Mulhern III, a member of the
ProDesk team.
The evaluation teams define requirements and selection criteria, develop test
scripts, identify candidate products, conduct rigorous testing against a variety
of University systems, and then make recommendations to IT Roundtable. If accepted,
the products become part of Penn's suite of supported products recommended
by Information Systems & Computing (ISC) for general-purpose campus-wide
use.
