Important Announcement: Windows 7 is currently supported only on new systems that ship with Windows 7 pre-installed. ISC strongly recommends that all other University users adopt a "wait and see" approach, continuing to use previous versions of Windows until the initial bugs in Windows 7 are identified and fixed. Supported Computing Products 2009-2010
The software in the tables below have been recommended by Information Systems & Computing (ISC) for general-purpose campuswide use. Many schools and units have standardized on the use of specific software. Faculty and staff should speak to their local support provider to determine what products are supported before selecting software.
About the tables: Follow the links to find more information about listed products and to locate download links for software that is distributed free of charge to Penn users. Remote access users who are unable to use the PennKey Authentication System to download the software can obtain and install the recommended software directly from the PennConnect DVD-ROM.
