AirPennNet for Mac OS

802.1x logo

Depending on the version of the Mac OS, configuring for AirPennNet requires either a software installer (Mac OS 10.4.x) or manual configuration (Mac OS 10.4.x, Mac OS 10.5.x, and Mac OS 10.6). To use AirPennNet, you need a wireless networking card that supports at least 802.11b (WiFi) and preferably 802.11g. Most notebook computers come equipped with this wireless capability.

Mac OS 10.4.x

Internet Connect 1.2 is the recommended 802.1X configurator for Mac OS 10.4.x users accessing AirPennNet. Download and configuration instructions are located here.

Important note: recent modifications to Mac OS 10.4.x have made the University's AirPennNet installer less reliable. Follow these instructions to manually configure your Mac OS 10.4.x system to connect to AirPennNet.

Mac OS 10.5.x

Instructions for connecting manually to AirPennNet with Mac OS 10.5.x are available here.

Mac OS 10.6

Instructions for connecting manually to AirPennNet with Mac OS 10.6.x are available here.
