Dreamweaver CS3 & CS4 (Mac OS; Windows)

Dreamweaver box
Important Notes: Some schools and units have standardized on the use of specific HTML/web authoring software applications and may not support Dreamweaver for their faculty and staff. Information Systems & Computing (ISC) strongly suggests that faculty and staff speak to their local support provider to determine which product(s) are supported locally before selecting HTML authoring software.

Adobe Dreamweaver is the HTML/web authoring software application recommended for ISC's clients, including off-campus students. Dreamweaver is a solution for professional web site design and production. You can develop web sites, automate web site production, and enhance web team efficiency. Dreamweaver can be customized using HTML, JavaScript, and XML, for rapid Web development.

Please note that basic HTML skills are still essential for those who create or maintain web pages, and that some may want to configure Dreamweaver to call on a preferred text editor (such as BBEdit) for editing HTML code.

Windows 7 Compatibility

Dreamweaver CS3 and CS4 have not yet been tested in Windows 7.

Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard Compatibility

Dreamweaver CS4 is compatible with Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard. Note that Adobe will not be releasing Mac OS 10.6-specific updates for software versions older than CS4. Applications in the CS3 suite and older such as Dreamweaver 8.0.x may work, but there may be some issues and they will not be addressed.
