Fetch 5.7.2 (OS X)

Fetch Softwork's Fetch is the supported and recommended FTP client for Macintosh file transfers. Fetch has a graphical interface for FTP that lets you log onto any host running an FTP server to download software. Fetch can be used for authenticated or anonymous FTP, supports Kerberized FTP and SFTP, and comes configured with a list of FTP sites of interest to Macintosh users.

OS X Mountain Lion

Fetch 5.7.2 functions correctly in OS X Mountain Lion.

Download

Fetch is licensed free of charge to users affiliated with educational institutions. Fetch is available for download using your PennKey and password.

Click on the download link below. The file will automatically unzip and place an installer on the desktop. Double-click the installer icon and follow the on-screen instructions accepting the defaults. After you finish, you can delete the installation file(s) from the desktop.

Configuration

The current Fetch 5.7.2 installer includes updated preferences for using SFTP with origin.www.upenn.edu, but does not install these preferences over a previous Fetch installation. Instructions on how to configure Fetch to use SFTP on origin.www.upenn.edu are here.
