Apple's iChat is a supported instant messaging client for Mac OS. Instant messaging is the the exchange of typed messages between computer users in real time via the Internet. iChat is included with Apple's Mac OS 10.4.x Tiger, Mac OS 10.5.x Leopard, and Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard operating systems.

Configuration

This product needs further configuration for use with the University's Jabber server. See these configuration instructions for Mac OS 10.4.x and Mac OS 10.6 (Mac OS 10.5 instructions coming soon).
