Windows Media Player is a recommended product for watching or listening to streaming multimedia files on the web. Windows Media Player lets you play live and on-demand audio and video files with limited download delays. After you have clicked an audio or video file, you can continue to use your Web browser while the file is playing.

Windows Media Player is freeware; it is available for download from the Microsoft web-site.

Click on the download link below. In the "Save As" window, create or go to the directory in which you want to save the file, append .exe to the file name if it is not already there, and click "Save". Open this directory, double-click the installation file, and follow the on-screen instructions accepting the defaults. After you finish, you can delete the installation file.
