Windows 2000 Professional (Pentium III and above)Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional is supported by many LSPs (local support providers). In addition, Information Systems & Computing (ISC) supports Windows 2000 Professional for LSPs as well as its clients, including off-campus students. ISC supports, but no longer recommends, Windows 2000 Professional for existing systems that meet ISC's Windows System Specifications. For Windows 2000 Professional the recommended minimum system requirements are: 600 MHz Pentium III with 256 megabytes of RAM Please note that Windows 2000 Professional will no longer be supported at Penn beginning on July 1, 2007. The full install of Windows 2000 Professional uses between 300 and 750 megabytes of hard disk space, depending on the type of PC and the choices made during the install. Note: there has been some confusion between Windows Millennium Edition and Windows 2000 Professional because of their similar designations. Windows Millennium Edition (no longer supported) was targeted at home users whereas Windows 2000 Professional is targeted at office and professional users. 2007 Daylight Saving Time ChangesManual adjustment of the system clock will be required to accurately reflect DST on March 11, 2007, and again on April 1, 2007. Manual adjustment of the system clock will again be required on October 28, 2007 to accurately reflect DST.
