Anticipated Date Product
1H 2007 Apple Mac OS 10.5 'Leopard'
The next version of the Mac OS will be the first version that includes integrated support for Intel processors. Leopard will also include a modified Finder, resolution independence, and speed and security enhancements. Look for reasonable system requirements to be close to 933 MHz, 1.0 GB RAM, and a 64 MB video card.
2H 2007 Microsoft Office 2008
The next version of Microsoft Office for Mac OS will be the first version that runs natively on Intel-based Macintoshes.
1H 2008 Microsoft Server (next)
The next version of Microsoft Server operating system is currently named Longhorn Server.
