Update: Apple MacBook Pro

Apple has announced updates today to its MacBook Pro line that feature the Core 2 Duo microprocessor. Information Systems & Computing (ISC) does not believe that the Core 2 Duo is necessary for all new MacBook Pro purchasers, though it may be worth investigating for users who run mid-range to high-end applications (including Boot Camp or Parallels).

Other changes in these latest MacBook Pros include the return of a FireWire 800 connector and the availability of hard drives in up to 200 GB capacities.
