Supported Products Evaluations - Spring 2000 - Charge to Teams

The team is expected to refine scope, define requirements and selection criteria, develop test scripts, identify candidate products, do testing, and make recommendations to IT Roundtable. The team must also create draft documentation for LSPs and end users as appropriate in preparation for the Fall Crush documentation effort.

See the Standards and Supported Products Process web page for a more detailed outline of the roles and responsibilities of the evaluation team.

The team leaders will be asked to present at Super User Group and IT Roundtable meetings to present progress, issues, and recommendations, and are also expected to maintain a web site to enable others on campus to stay informed regarding these efforts.

Good examples of past supported product evaluation web sites are at:

http://www.upenn.edu/computing/group/emtf/ http://www.upenn.edu/computing/group/browser/browser99/index.html http://www.upenn.edu/computing/group/telnet/

We would like these efforts to complete over an 8-10 week period from the beginning of March through the end of April or early May if possible.
