Supported Products - Spring 2000 - Desktop Hardware Guidelines

The minimum desktop system specifications for next year, from the 1997-1998 Desktop Standards, are:

Recommended Configurations for New General-purpose Machines
Windows 95 Macintosh
Hardware Processor 200MHz Pentium MMX (133MHz) 200MHz PowerPC (180MHz)
Memory (RAM) 32 MB 32 MB
Hard Disk 2 GB 2 GB
Monitor 17" Color SVGA, 75MHz
refresh rate (15" minimum)
17" Color, 75MHz refresh
rate (15" minimum)
Operating System Windows 95 MacOS System 7.6.x

Supported products selected should run on these systems. Support for older "legacy" systems is also desirable, but teams can rely on the supported products distributed last year for users with computers that do not meet these specifications.
