Supported Products - Spring 2000 - Operating System Guidelines
We continue to select and support both Mac and Windows products in each category. Mac products must support MacOS versions 7.6.x - 9.x. Windows products must support Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT Workstation 4.0, and Windows 2000 Professional. Support for a single product that offers both a Mac and Windows version is preferable, but separate Mac and Windows products can be selected in cases where they are significantly better than any cross-platform application available. Teams are also asked to consider the existence of versions for other operating systems in use on campus as one criteria in ranking candidate products. Support for other operating systems is not required, and teams can weigh this factor as appropriate within each product category.
