Supported Products - Spring 2001 - Desktop Hardware Guidelines

The minimum desktop system recommendations for next year, from the 1998-1999 Desktop Recommendations, are:

Recommended Configurations for New General-purpose Machines
Windows 95 Macintosh
Hardware Processor Pentium II PowerPC G3
Memory (RAM) 64 MB 64 MB
Hard Disk 4 GB 4 GB
Monitor 17" Color SVGA, 75MHz
refresh rate (15" minimum)
17" Color, 75MHz refresh
rate (15" minimum)
Operating System Windows 95 Mac OS 8.1

Supported products selected should run on these systems. Support for older "legacy" systems is also desirable, but teams can rely on the supported products distributed last year for users with computers that do not meet these specifications.
