Value PDA Purchasing Guide for LSPs:

Recommendations for Second Quarter, FY 2008

Specifications effective October 1, 2007

This category of low-end handheld devices has devolved to the point where it is no longer relevant to the University community. Currently, there is only one handheld from a major manufacturer that meets the general requirement of this category: the Palm Z2. While this device may be relevant for some of the student community, faculty and staff should now consider the mid-range category their starting point when considering a handheld purchase.

The chart below is retained for informational use only. Future versions of this purchasing guide will likely eliminate this category alltogether.
