Dreamweaver CS5.x& CS6 (OS X; Windows)

Some schools and units have standardized on the use of specific HTML/web authoring software applications and may not support Dreamweaver for their faculty and staff. Information Systems & Computing (ISC) strongly suggests that faculty and staff speak to their local support provider to determine which product(s) are supported locally before selecting HTML authoring software.

Dreamweaver is commercial software that can be purchased from the Computer Connection at an educational discount.

Product History At The University

Various versions of Dreamweaver have been supported at the University since the early 2000s.

Dreamweaver 8.0.x and CS3 were on the supported products list for Fiscal 2009.

Dreamweaver CS3 and CS4 were on the supported products list for Fiscal 2010. This transition to a CS3 and above environment was made because 8.0.x was only partially compatible with Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.5 and above. Dreamweaver CS4 and CS5 were on the supported products list for Fiscal 2011 (this transition to a CS4 and above environment was made because CS3 is only partially compatible with Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.6). Dreamweaver CS5.x and CS6 are on the supported products list for Fiscal 2013.

Windows 7 Compatibility

Dreamweaver is compatible with Windows 7.

OS X Lion Compatibility

Dreamweaver is compatible with OS X Lion.
