Apple's iChat is a supported instant messaging client for OS X. Instant messaging is the the exchange of typed messages between computer users in real time via the Internet. Various versions of iChat are included with Apple's OS X Snow Leopard and OS X Lion operating systems.

Configuration

This product needs further configuration for use with the University's Jabber server. See these configuration instructions for OS X Snow Leopard.

OS X Lion Compatibility

iChat 6.0 ships with and functions correctly in OS X Lion.
