Update your Antivirus Software Now, and Keep It Updated
Keeping your antivirus software updated is the only way to protect your system from new viruses.
- Make sure you have updated your antivirus software to the latest version supported at Penn: Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 for Windows and Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.7 for Macintosh.
- Although antivirus software distributed at Penn has already been configured for automatic updates, you should still check to make sure automatic updates are scheduled to occur daily for both Windows and Mac OS.
- In the event of a virus emergency, update your computer's virus definition files manually.

When vendors acknowledge vulnerabilities in any of Penn's supported products, a notice will be placed on the homepage of this website and on the homepage of the Supported Products website. These notices summarize the vulnerability and link to ISC recommendations. If ISC recommendations include updating software, please note the following:
- If you are in a managed environment, updates will be applied for you.

If you are in an unmanaged environment, you will be required or responsible for applying the updates. |
If you already know how to remove previous versions of Penn's antivirus software, use the links below to download current versions of supported antivirus software. After accepting the licensing agreement, follow the on-screen prompts to install the software. For Mac OS installations, after the Penn installer finishes, the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) installer will start. It may take several seconds for the SEP installer to launch.

| * If you already have antivirus software installed on your computer such as Virex for Macintosh or VirusScan for Windows, you should remove it before installing Norton or Symantec's antivirus products. This includes removing earlier versions of Symantec and Norton AntiVirus software. |
