Supported Antivirus Software 2008-2009

Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition and Norton AntiVirus are the University's supported antivirus products for Windows and Mac OS operating systems. Symantec provides various products for the University's supported versions of the Palm OS and Windows Mobile OS.

Updating your antivirus software is the only way to keep your system protected from new viruses. While this should be default setting for installations from Penn sources, users should check to make sure automatic updates are scheduled to occur daily for both Windows and Mac OS and weekly for handhelds. However, in the event of a virus emergency, users can update the virus definition files manually. Please see the alerts page for information on the latest definition files for your antivirus software.
