Telephone Sets Features
Polycom 320/321

  • Call Lists/Directories - Lets you view call history for received and placed calls; make a call from the call logs; and add names and phone numbers to your personal phone book. You can also save phone numbers from received and placed calls to your personal Contact Directory.
  • Caller ID - Information is displayed on the phone screen.
  • Call Timer - A timer displays shows the length of an active call.
  • Dial - Used in conjunction with call lists, directory and dial pad to make calls.
  • Display Screen - Lets you view standard phone information, access menus, and use softkeys to select calling features like Conference and Transfer. In standard view, the screen displays the time, date, and your telephone number; the screen displays an envelope icon when you have messages waiting.
  • Headset - Lets you listen hands-free by inserting the plug of the headset into the headset jack and then toggling the Headset key on or off.
  • Hold Key - Place calls on hold.
  • Indicator Light - Blinks or glows red when you have an incoming call, green when the call has been answered.
  • Dial Pad - Works exactly like the dial pad on a traditional phone.
  • Menu Key - Lets you change the phone settings for contrast (shades of the display screen), select the ring type (multiple ring types are provided), and set caller preferences such as Call Waiting or activate features such as Do Not Disturb and Speed Dial.
  • Mute Key - Lets you toggle one/off the microphone during a conversation.
  • Navigation Arrows - Four keys let you navigate through the menu system and scroll through on-screen text.
  • Services - The Services key is used to access the Public view of the Penn Online Directory.
  • Softkeys - Are used to activate various features and functions (softkeys are displayed along the bottom of your phone screen). The options displayed above the softkeys will change depending on the state of phone. For example, when you are speaking with someone the End Call option appears; when the phone is idle New Call, Callers and Dir are displayed.
  • Speaker - Toggle speaker phone on/off.
  • Volume - Lets you adjust the volume during a conversation. When the phone is idle, you can also use the Volume key to adjust the ringer volume.

  • Conference Key - Create a 3-way conference call.
  • Dial Softkey - Used in conjunction with Call Lists, Directories, and the dial pad to make calls.
  • Directories - Access your call history lists or personal contact directory.
  • Backlit Display Screen - Lets you view standard phone information, access menus, and use softkeys to select calling features like Conference and Transfer. In standard view, the screen displays the time, date, and your telephone number; the screen displays an envelope icon when you have messages waiting. Adjust the back light level to suit your environment.
  • Do Not Disturb Key - Toggle on and off to prevent your phone from ringing. Unanswered calls are diverted to voice mail, if activated.
  • Headset - Lets you listen hands-free by inserting the plug of the headset into the headset jack and then toggling the Headset key on or off.

  • Dial Pad - Works exactly like the dial pad on a traditional phone.
  • Line Keys - Supports maximum of 4 lines with LED status indicators (red/green) to indicate call state.
  • Menu Key - Lets you change the phone settings for contrast (shades of the display screen), select the ring type (multiple ring types are provided), and set caller preferences such as display contrast, time and date.
  • Messages Key - One touch calling to the voice mail system.
  • Mute Key - Lets you toggle one/off the microphone during a conversation.
  • Navigation Arrows - Up and down arrow keys let you navigate through the menu system and scroll through on-screen text.
  • Redial Key - Redial the last number placed from your phone.
  • Ring Control - Set the ring tone for each line key, over 12 options available including a silent ring for lines that need not ring on every phone set where it appears.
  • Applications Key - Lets you access the public view of the Penn Online Directory.

  • Expansion Module for Polycom 650 handset – Add 1, 2 or 3 expansion modules to a 650 handset to accommodate more telephone lines. Each module adds 14 buttons but the maximum number of lines supported cannot exceed 34, the remaining open buttons can be used for one touch dialing of numbers saved in the contact list/speed dial.
    • 650 handset – 6 buttons - supports 6 telephone numbers
    • One module - 14 buttons - supports 14 telephone numbers (set 6 + module 14 = 20)
    • Two modules - 28 buttons - support 28 telephone numbers (set 6 + modules 28 = 34)
    • Three modules - 42 buttons - support 34 telephone numbers the remaining 8 buttons can be used as speed dial keys. There is a software limitation that allows a maximum of 34 telephone number registrations per handset.
  • Display Screen - High resolution display screen.
  • Line Indicator - Blinks or glows red when you have an incoming call, green when the call has been answered.
  • Line Keys - Supports maximum of 14 lines with LED status indicators (red/green) to indicate call state. Line Keys can be used to support a telephone number or speed dial.
  • Speed Dial - Blank line keys can be used for one touch dialing to frequently used numbers, and as a short cut to transfer calls faster and without error.
