Error Reports on www.upenn.edu
When a user tries to access a page that is not found, they will receive a page that
- help users understand the error, and
- allow them notify a provider about a broken link.
Note that users may submit an error report by mistake, so providers should always check reported errors before taking action.
- This is the page a user will see if the system is able to associate an error with a "referrer page". In most cases, the user will have selected a broken link on the referrer page. However, it's also possible that a user will have typed in a bad URL while simply viewing the referrer page.
From this page the user has the option of sending a problem notification message directly to the provider of the referrer page.
