This page is designed to allow you to acquire both EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) and Web-ready GIF versions of University of Pennsylvania logo graphics. The EPS versions should be used in print publications and the GIF versions should be used online (at the size in which they appear on this page).
These images are the primary graphic elements of The University of Pennsylvania
identification program. Use is authorized only for members of the University
community in applications supporting the Unversity's mission. The University
reserves the right to deny permission for uses it deems injurious to the interests
of the University or members of its community. These images must be used according
to the official guidelines (available through Creative Communications).
Downloading the EPS version
The high resolution EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) format files can be resized without losing any detail. To download the EPS version of a graphic from this page to your desktop, click on the graphic with your mouse. A dialog box will appear allowing you to save the graphic to your desktop.
Note: The file will be transferred to your desktop as an EPS file native to the helper application you set up in Netscape's Preferences to handle files with .eps extensions. If you do not have a specific helper application selected to handle EPS files, Netscape will save the file to your desktop using a default helper application. You should change your Netscape Preferences (Options-->General Preferences-->Helpers) to save EPS files in an appropriate graphics application.
Downloading the GIF version
To download the GIF version of a graphic from this page to your desktop, click on the graphic with your mouse, hold down until a pop-up menu appears, and select the "Save this image as..." option. A dialog box will appear allowing you to save the graphic to your desktop.
Note: You should use the GIF versions of the logo graphics at the size they are shown here. Resizing will hinder legibility and obscure the image.
