Basic Configuration - Mobile and Handheld Devices

Wireless Configuration for Mobile and Handheld Devices

Visit the Windows, Mac OS, or Mobile OS configuration instructions pages for supported mobile and handheld devices to check for instructions on how to configure your device for AirPennNet. Note that instructions will only be provided for devices that are among the University's current Recommended Products, and that a device must be 802.1X-compatible in order to access the AirPennNet wireless network. Devices that are not 802.1X-compatible can still access the AirPennNet-Guest wireless network, using a valid PennKey and password.

Switching between wireless networks

Mac OS X allows for easy switching between two or more discrete wireless networks. Your Mac laptop should automatically "discover" wireless networks that are broadcasting in those areas. You may not be authorized to use some campus wireless networks even though your wireless device discovers them. It is strongly recommended that you do not access unfamiliar wireless networks.

Obtaining additional support

Contact your support provider if you require additional assistance in configuring your device for use with AirPennNet.
