Students often require support, whether academic or personal, and Penn offers a wide range of resources. These pages provide instructors with information that can help them know how to assist students with diverse needs.

General Support Services

Course Problem Notices
Through Courses in Touch, instructors in any school can send a notice to students who seem to be having trouble in their course. These notices also go to the appropriate advising office.

Counseling & Psychological Services
Students with concerns of a personal, emotional, social, or educational nature may visit CAPS for help and guidance free of charge.

Professional instruction in skills such as academic reading, test taking, and study strategies.

Tutoring Center
A variety of subject-specific peer tutoring services to supplement support from faculty, TAs, and instructors.

Provides expert help in writing for undergraduate and graduate students.

Communication Within the Curriculum

Provides tutoring for foreign languages.

Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships
Provides opportunities for undergraduates to become involved in research and a way for professors who have research projects to reach interested undergraduates.

Weigle Information Commons, Penn Libraries
Offers students tutoring in use of digital media as well as technology rich group study rooms. Weigle can also provide customized programs for your classes.
