The Center for Urban Redevelopment
Excellence enhances Fellows' individual field experience with an
eight-week initial training and ongoing trainings hosted three times
per year during the first two years of the fellowship job.
The initial training provides
Fellows with technical training and exposure to topics that complement
the diverse professional experiences, academic training and personal
perspectives that they bring to the program. It also gives Fellows
a multi-disciplinary foundation for their urban real estate work.

Training Curriculum and Certificate in Urban Redevelopment
Ongoing trainings are organized in different national
locations to increase Fellows' exposure to innovative practice,
diverse market conditions and community contexts across the country.
Fellows receive additional skills development, make site visits,
and improve their national networks through relationship-building
opportunities with other institutions, networks and programs. The
trainings also provide structured opportunities for the Fellows
to share their experiences and to internalize the insights of others.
