The Center for Urban Redevelopment
Excellence at the University of Pennsylvania is generously funded
by a $2.42 million 5-year and a $250,000 2-year National Venture
Fund grant from the John
S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The Knight Foundation has
also provided assistance with ongoing program evaluation and improvement
through Patrizi Associates.
The Center is also incredibly grateful
to the following foundations for their significant support:
The
Annie E. Casey Foundation: $125,000 grant for core operational
support over one year of the third cohort’s fellowship
term. $50,000 planning grant supporting the development of training
materials for broader distribution and collaborative projects
with the Wharton GIS Lab.
Fannie
Mae Foundation: Two consecutive $75,000 grants supporting
minority Fellows in the first, second, and third cohorts.
Surdna
Foundation: $200,000 grant for core operational support
over two years.
William
Penn Foundation: $66,000 grant to expand the fellowship’s
training programs to include the participation of community
development professionals in the private and public sectors
in the Philadelphia region, including Camden, New Jersey.
