Prerequisites. The following are prerequisites for the program:

• At least three (3) years of work experience in real estate development, community development, or fields related to urban development.
• The capacity for leadership and innovation.
• The interest and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders to plan and implement complex projects.
• The willingness to work with existing residents of distressed communities to plan for change.
• The ability to understand and work with the needs and interests of public and private investors.
• The spark to improvise and innovate in creating unique local strategies for redevelopment.
• The ability to work with numbers and manage complex projects within a budget.
• The commitment and drive for detailed follow-through to implement large-scale change.
• The passion for the niche of urban redevelopment in which the Center and host organizations are focused.
