Sara Tolleson
most recently served as Deputy Regional Director in the Office of
the Federal Coordinator for Gulf Coast Rebuilding, where she worked
extensively with local, state and national leaders to develop collaborative
solutions in the areas of evacuee repatriation, planning, affordable,
public and temporary housing, workforce and economic development,
and public education. In this role she coordinated with philanthropic
organizations, government agencies and financial institutions to
identify resources for long-term recovery projects. As a program
examiner in the Office of Management and Budget, Executive Office
of the President, Ms. Tolleson developed, tracked and executed the
President’s budget for Army Corps of Engineers civil works
programs. She previously served as Deputy Press Secretary and District
Scheduler for U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett, and as a program coordinator
for Keep Austin Beautiful. Ms. Tolleson holds a Bachelor of Arts
from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Public Affairs
from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs, University
of Texas at Austin.
