APRIL 2007
  • The Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence at the University of Pennsylvania is thrilled to announce the launch of the Rockefeller Foundation Redevelopment Fellowship program. Made possible by a generous grant from The Rockefeller Foundation, this new fellowship program is adapted from the Center’s national fellowship and will serve to build long-term capacity for urban redevelopment in the New Orleans region. For more details on the Rockefeller Foundation Redevelopment Fellowship, please visit the Application page.

JANUARY 2007
  • The Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence will not be requesting applications for a fourth round of its national fellowship program within the coming six months. However, we may have some additional opportunities available during that timeframe. We are also exploring the possibility of making training courses, site visits and other elements of the fellowship program available to broader groups of participants. The responses that some of you have made to our survey at http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB225KE6DY3JY have been very helpful in this effort.
  • We will continue to use the Center's listserv to make announcements about all of our new opportunities. Thank you for your interest in large scale urban redevelopment, and for your interest in our programs.

AUGUST 2006

  • The Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence would like to announce that we will not be seeking candidates for a fourth fellowship cohort that would start in January, 2007. Our decision to postpone the offering of a fourth cohort did not come lightly, and we will be using the next 4 to 6 months to position the program to make fellowships available in the future. We very much appreciate the interest and support that everyone has shown in our program. We look forward to making advancements that will continue to serve the urban redevelopment field, and the talented individuals who contribute to its progress. Please continue to participate in our listserv for announcements regarding Center activities that may be of interest over the coming months, as well as announcements of future fellowship rounds. We will provide fellowship updates no later than the first quarter of 2007.
  • We would like to incorporate your input when shaping the timing and application process for future fellowship rounds. Please visit our future fellowship programming survey on the web to share with us your feedback and perspectives on how valuable you find our fellowship program and other Center activities currently under consideration.
