The Benjamin Franklin Scholars program is open to applications from students through their sophomore year.
While approximately one hundred incoming freshmen are named Benjamin Franklin Scholars, students may apply for admission beginning during the second semester of their freshman year and continuing through their sophomore year. Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in a Benjamin Franklin Scholars seminar before applying to the program; furthermore, it is highly recommended that potential applicants make an appointment to speak with an adviser as a part of beginning the application process.
