Charles B Rangel International Affairs Program

The Rangel Graduate Fellowship provides up to $35,000 annually towards tuition, room, board, books and mandatory fees for completion of two-year master’s degrees in international affairs or another area of relevance to the work of the Foreign Service (such as public administration, public policy, business administration, foreign languages, economics, political science, or communications) at a graduate or professional school approved by the Rangel Program. (see list of partners.)

Eligibility and Qualifications

Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Must be seeking to enter graduate school in the fall for a 2-year US program in preparation for a career with the US Foreign Service and have financial need (generally those receiving federal financial aid as undergraduates.)

Timeframe

Applications due January 18, 2013

Interviews for finalists will be in mid-March. Offers made to fellows very soon thereafter. Fellows must then pass final review. See http://careers.state.gov/officer/selection-process#nogo for details of final review.
