Provost’s Undergraduate Research Mentoring Program - Descriptions now uploaded! February 02, 2009
Penn’s Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF) invites all first-year Penn undergraduates to apply for the Summer 2009 Provost’s Undergraduate Research Mentoring Program (PURM). PURM provides students who have just completed their first year at Penn with a $3,000 summer living stipend while they conduct research with a Penn faculty member as their mentor and supervisor. Conducting research with a faculty member is an exciting way to deepen your understanding of a field of study, and it’s a great way to get to know a Penn faculty member.
CURF’s website contains a list of over 200 potential research projects for which Penn faculty are seeking first-year undergraduates as research assistants . You will need to have a few projects specifically in mind when applying to the program, so please read the document carefully.
Student applications are due electronically to CURF by 4:00pm on February 18
