Penn Undergraduate Environmental Health Scholars Program
The Penn Undergraduate Environmental Health Scholars Program will take place this summer from May 29 through August 3. The program is a collaboration between CEET, the Center for Public Health Initiatives, and multiple schools and faculty at Penn. Ten weeks of summer activities will expose students to the field of environmental health science through mentorship, coursework, and field experience. Four internships will be awarded to Penn undergraduate students who will work one-on-one with mentors on projects that they choose and design. Two students will work on lab research projects and two students will work on field projects. Each intern will receive $3,500 for the 10 week internship. Highlights of the program include cutting-edge research seminars on environmental health topics, laboratory and weekly field trips to environmental sites or government agencies.
