On October 5, 2006, our colleague Nobel laureate Baruch Blumberg inaugurated the series with a public lecture entitled "Astrobiology: Origin and Distribution of Life on the Earth and in the Universe" to a standing-room-only audience in Steinberg-Dietrich.
